Residential Team Lead

GCS is hiring a Residential Team Lead in our Qualified Residential Treatment Program. The Residential Team Lead will lead youth activities such as recreation, physical education, and team building activities while supporting youth and other staff. Candidates must be able to build trust and maintain relationships. Record maintenance and accurate file documentation are required to ensure program compliance and service delivery.

Youth program activities include:

  • 1st shift (8a-4p) – Assist with daily chores, outings, recreation, life skills
  • 2nd shift (4pm-12am – Assist with daily chores, outings, recreation, life skills
  • 3rd shift (12am-8am) – Assist with supervision during sleep, cleaning, breakfast

Counselor CADC/LCADCA 

Gateway Children’s Services (GCS) is a nonprofit organization located in Mount Sterling, Kentucky. Our high-quality prevention and support programs are child-focused and family-centered. All evidenced services are designed to strengthen families, bring recovery to those struggling with mental illness or addiction, enhance parenting skills, and foster happy, nurtured children.

GCS is hiring a Counselor CADC/LCADCA to provide individual and group counseling to help clients identify and resolve personal chemical dependency issues. Utilizes assessment and diagnostic tools and forms to gather information pertaining to client history to assist in developing accurate assessments and treatment planning. Maintains accurate documentation of individual and group counseling sessions and activities adhering to established regulations and licensure standards. Provides information to clients on chemical dependency and related issues through educational sessions. Consults with client referral sources on issues related to client treatment and therapy progress. Provides a variety of indirect client services including writing correspondence on behalf of clients, submitting court reports, and making court appearances, charting medical records, conducting case reviews and treatment planning, making telephone contacts, and collecting/monitoring client fees. Performs multiple organizational responsibilities including attending and participating in supervisory and staff meetings, facilitating non-clinical collaboration with other programs, etc.

Candidates must be a graduate of an accredited college or university with a minimum of bachelor’s degree AND be certified as a Drug and Alcohol Counselor or Master’s Degree in Clinical Counseling or Social Work. Must hold an active professional certification/license recognized by the state of Kentucky for providing counseling services to individuals with a Substance Use Disorder Diagnosis. Specifically, one of the following licenses: CADC, LCADC, LPCA, LPCC, CSW, LCSW, AMFT, LMFT.

Residential Youth Workers

Applicants must be over 21 years of age, possess a high school diploma or GED, must be able to pass a drug test, background check and CAN (Child Abuse & Neglect) check. Duties include direct supervision of residents and submitting required documentation. You must be 21 years of age. A Bachelor's degree is preferred but the minimum of high school diploma or GED is required. Starting pay is $11.00 an hour.
